Gary works with all levels of local government, from the water treatment plant operator to the mayor and city council, to help them plan, solve and understand the needs of the community.
He also understands the importance of giving back to his community, and is actively involved with Junior Achievement, the United Way and several local organizations. Gary is a graduate of Southern Illinois University.
Why Farnsworth Group?
Our corporate culture, core values and mission, coupled with our array of services, excellent staff, and variety of clients set us apart from other E/A firms. Our client first attitude and "trusted advisor" role exemplifies what our company is about and has been the core of our success for over 100 years.
What I like most about my job:
There are many things I like about my job, but to limit it to a few, they would have to include: "trusted advisor" to clients, mentor to younger staff, working with professional peers and the opportunity to plan and develop strategy for the future and sustainability of Farnsworth Group.
If I weren't an Engineer, I'd be:
If I had listened to my mother, I would be a pastor or barber. If I were something other than a municipal engineer, my career would include helping people live healthy, fulfilled lives.
When not at work, you can find me:
At home working. I live my work because I love what I do and am available to staff and clients 24/7. Other things you might find me doing is teaching bible study for almost any age Sunday school class, teaching Junior Achievement, training with my wife for our next half or full marathon, maintaining our small acreage and equally small lake in rural Fulton County or possibly reading a good book.
