Steve Myers, PE, LEED AP :: Principal

Group Leader, Water/Wastewater

Having been hanging around water and wastewater plants for more than 35 years, Steve Myers isn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and get dirty. Steve joined Farnsworth Group in 1987 and serves as leader of the Company's water/wastewater team. Steve has an extensive background in water and wastewater systems, project management, construction administration/observation and design for municipal systems. He works hand-in-hand with plant operators to help them understand their systems and optimize their performance.

Whether it's replacing a small sewer line or designing a new state-of-the-art treatment plant, Steve and his team approach each and every project with the same level of passion and attention to detail required to ensure a successful project.

Why Farnsworth Group?

After working for another firm for several years and interacting with several others, I came to work for Farnsworth because I could work on projects in the community where I lived. I found Farnsworth staff to be very objective and fair in whatever we were working on. I liked that.

What I like most about my job:

Getting feedback from the treatment plant operators on how the systems we had designed were working and how to improve on them.

If I weren't an Engineer, I'd be:

Either a farmer or psychologist! I like the idea of planting seeds and watching them grow. These seeds could be plants such as corn, soybeans or garden variety, or seeds of thoughts and ideas that develop the person or society into better and more productive people.

When not at work, you can find me:

Working around the house, cooking, riding a bicycle or motorcycle or helping build a Habitat for Humanity house.
