Georgia State Capitol Building Improvements Commissioning
The project includes significant improvements to the Capitol Building. Areas to be improved include renovations of the Governor’s suite, the Lieutenant Governor’s suite, and the House and Senate Chambers. Project components include significant enabling elements with the 30-year-old campus central energy plant and other MEP systems. The equipment in the existing plant requires retro-commissioning and attention to address deferred maintenance issues. Significant improvements to the building envelope also include regilding the dome’s gold roof and a detailed investigation of the dome to address water entry and humidity issues in the interstitial space.
