Subdivision Kickstarted by Engineering / Surveying

Farnsworth Group was selected by Journey Homes for civil engineering, site design and land surveying services for The Overlook Subdivision.

The project spans approximately 160 acres and will offer 581 single-family lots.

The engineering services included road design, grading improvements, erosion control, utility design and drainage analysis and design. Farnsworth Group also provided construction administration services and coordinated with the owner, planner, landscape architect and the Town of Severance to ensure that the project was completed in the most efficient way. Our team evaluated the traffic impact study and designed the site and roads to accommodate the projected increase in traffic.

Farnsworth Group land surveying services included topographic and boundary surveys, zoning and annexation maps, as well as construction staking services. Additionally, we provided both the preliminary and final plats according to the Town's standards.

Farnsworth Group was able to work with the client to meet their aggressive schedule. The design process ran over just six months. We coordinated permitting and Town approval processes thoroughly and efficiently in order to achieve the client's goals.
